  • @GregDrayGregDray That's Steve 'Deacon' Hunter. He actually played on many of the cuts (along with Richard Wagner). Glen was becoming problematic due to substance abuse. He peaked out during Schools Out. Blue Turk being his Swan Song. Schools Out saw the transition of duty to Hunter and Wagner. Hunter played the lead on My Stars etc. Hunter and Wagner (Dynamic Duo) are the best guitarists on the PLANET. Period! Having Hunter there IS STILL the original AC band in my opinion. RIP G.B.

  • This shows that Michael Bruce is no slug on guitar, rather unfairly his skill has been unsung.

  • Dick Wagner did some great work before working on Nightmare.....He was lead guitarist for a band named The Frost.....Another group ahead of it's time...........Songs were great along with the vocals and harmonies for the time.....It wasn't bad growing up 50 miles from Detroit in Toledo, Oh.............lol..............

  • Lets put this to rest..Next week I'll be 59..I still have my 65 SG Jr that I had gotten for Christmas in 65 and too I have a 61 Les Paul Jr double cutaway that when we played back up to the MC5, Fred " Sonic" Smith had a white Les Paul Special double cutaway that we played each others guitars for the time that we spent in the dressing room before the show.......I too never sold out as I still have hair to my waste and my wife of 37 yrs just let me buy a Mesa Triple Rectafier Amp.

Let's leave it at this...Dennis Dunaway was the best one in the band. His bass playing made the music musical. Vince was a punk rock singer, Neal Smith was average, Mike Bruce was a journeyman guitarist and GB was a studio musician. It worked when they were all together but their schtick got old. They brought in Hunter and Wagner to do the studio work just as Aerosmith did. Most of the bands I was in broke up for one reason or another though I still jam at 54.

  • Who is in this band? I see Micheal Bruce has put on some weight. Is Neal Smith on drums and is Dennis Dunnaway on bass? who is the other guitarist ? Isn't Glen Buxton dead? I saw these guys in Pittsburgh at the civic arena in like 1974 on the Billion Dollar Babies tour it was fantastic. One of the best shows i ever saw if not THE best.

  • @alwaysopen Well lets talk..I was a personal friend of Dennis Dunnaway and the other guys from the band. Hung out with them and the likes for many years. Maybe that's why I take such offense when someone bad mouths them......I played backup to the MC5, Cradle and Dick Wagner. Hung out an entire night with Ted Nugent and the list goes on and on. The road is a hard one. Not always a ball of fun. Mechnical falures with the truck, equiptment breaking and at times coming up missing.

  • @yellowcobra1

What would you know about taking a band out on the road?

  • @alwaysopen What!!! What!!!! You say you play the skin flute..What the truth hurts..So sorry I hurt your feelings..Dude or should I say little girl with a foul mouth.........Get your shit together and your head out of your ass. These guys have always been great and pioneers in the music world.....They paved the way for so many other copy cat bands and you damm well know it. You have to make a big comitment to go on the road these days. I give them a lot of credit for still rocken out.

  • @yellowcobra1

I was going to give you a worthwhile response but this 2nd one you put here is worthy of telling you to SUCK MY COCK - after your mom does - and fist your sister the way she likes it.
