@AxemanTurk you right..he's probably the best in the world as far as blues guitarist go..but who knws there may be a 14 yr kid in india who blows matt out the water lol never really knw but yea he's brought that Albert Collins feel..with SRV's tone..and the BB King vibrato and mixed it with some jazz..and well you get MATT SCHOFIELD!! i love this guy

@PrathmamDhra Bonamassa plays with a touch of country and rock in his blues, Schofield add some jazz to his playing, as Robben Ford do..

@karmadave I really like the fact that you mentioned an aversion to using the word 'best' for art, that's something I agree with wholeheartedly. Though it does make describing just how fabulous Matt Schofield is a little difficult. Simply, he's fabulous and I can't wait to hear more :)

I hesitate to use the word 'best' for art, but Matt is on a level that few others have dared to tread. It's really a shame that the music industry doesn't promote a talent, like Matt. He deserves to be playing on stages with Clapton, Mayer, Beck, and others for sure...

Best blues guitarist in UK? I don't think so... I reckon he's the best blues guitarist in the world as noone has added such style, melody and unique playing with such "emotion" to blues since Hendrix! He has a killer tone and incredible technique to boot. This guy will go down in the book of guitarists in due course, mark my words.
