Defective Kindle screen problem - horrible

I woke up this morning and this basically is what the kindle looks like when the screen gets messed up. There are lines running back and forth thru the screen...there is patches of dark in center.....and looks like someone took an eraser to parts of the screen. Thankfully amazon was contacted and a replacement is on the way..but this scares me..what will i do if this happens a year down the line....anyone with comments or questions I can be reached at grandtime001@gmail.com

if its under a year old yes..they should..if not just buy a new one...its only 75 bucks for a new one..dont know how they are built now..if you'd run into the same problem

This happened to me last night (2 Feb) - Kindle unit was a Xmas present so is about 5-6 weeks old (and wasn't even set up for first 3 of those as I was away on holiday). SO, unit has failed for no apparent reason after 3 weeks.
