Paul Evans & The Curls - Seven Little Girls Sitting In The Back Seat (Original)

Most people will remember Paul singing this Top Ten novelty hit from the fall of 1959, "Seven Little Girls". But Paul Evans was a multi-talented fellow and a songwriter of some note. Among the many hits Paul wrote were "When" for the Kalin Twins (#5 in June of 1958), "I Gotta Know" for Elvis Presley (Top 20 in 1960), and his biggest, "Roses are Red" for Bobby Vinton (#1 for a solid month in June of 1962).

Thanks for the heads-up on the URL situation. Of course, I have just about all the music I want (with few exceptions and new releases) so not being able to take the audio is mox nix to me. However, if they do this, I can only hope they will at long last allow the WMG copyrighted music to be posted...I have literally hundreds of songs to post just waiting for that day.

Oh... Wow... I am not insane! I remember hearing this song once long ago. Whenever I've mentioned this song over the years, people have looked at me like I was deranged. What do you know... this song is real (or a shared delusion.)

Ah, it was THIS version I must have heard (I thought it was the Avons' version, which sounds remarkably like this.) I wonder if this was the inspiration for part of 'Itsy Bitsy Yellow Plka Dot Bikini'.
