A fish party may sound like a lot of fun, but not in this case. This video was created for Greenpeace UK's newest campaign fighting back against the canned tuna (or tinned tuna if you're British) industry's cruel method of fishing. They're called Fish Aggregating Devices and they can attract a lot more than just tuna: sharks, dolphins and turtles, too. Greenpeace is pressuring supermarkets and brands supporting FADs to move to pole and line caught seafood. Read more about it here and see how you can help http://www.greenpeace.org.uk/fishfight

  • i think you should put an empasis on the importance of saving dolphins. One sort of species of dolphins are probably either extinct or only twenty left. Yeah, twenty. Though most of the dolphins that die, die because of tuna hiding under the dolphins. The fishers know that they're there and fish all of them up. The other fish survive, because they are in water. But not the dolphins. They suffocate because they can't get up for air.

  • "pole and line" fishing is grossly inefficient :/

  • @MattDranee Yeah, those rabbits which are poisoned to maintain your food source are less important than sea creatures.

Your existence requires space, space other animals could be occupying, get over it.

  • For anyone who is interested in overfishing, please check out my channel: EurofishTV

  • I have a solution to this...Be a vegetarian.

  • this is some bull shit typical peta greenpeace lies. every word in this vid is lies. there is no bi catch with tune othter tuna species meaning if they targeting yellowfin they get some skipjack tuna mixed in as well. green peace and petas goal is to ban all forms of pet ownership farming and fishing hunting 1 species at time in one area at time. the only way they can do this is to lie and to attack 1 form fishing at a time. not 1 single dolphin killed by tuna net since the 90s its dolphin safe

  • @emperortim21 I try to avoid picking vegetables with nervous systems.

  • @FerreThoughts But then you have to worry about hurting the veggies feelings when you pick them from the ground!

  • @MADDISO you dont know what your talking about! just go back to whole foods!!

  • This video is absurd! Get a life greenpeace not everyone likes to eat fruit and veggies like you hippies!

  • This animation looks great ..and it works too. But, the solution-part..... about the canned fish with a no-delfin mark ...fish industry has used spinning rods?I find that hard to believe. In sweden all tins (?) have this mark almost.
