Actually, Drake Levin didn't play on this track. None of the Raiders were on it except for Lindsay. Producer Terry Melcher thought studio musicians could do a better job so he had Billy Strange on guitar, Carol Kaye on bass and Hal Blaine on drums lay down the tracks while the Raiders were on tour. Lindsay flew down later to add the vocals. This was the only time it ever happened although Melcher would later have a studio musician add a track or small part if he thought the recording needed it
This is a really great song. This band was so underrated that this song should have been a hit. If any one has a clean version of this song please post.
