@LionsDenJJ I'm not trying to be mean, I appreciate all kids who grapple. I'm just saying that if you come to the large tourneys in places like Vegas you will see much more technical skills. This match was obviously held on one mat in a small gym with little talent. I saw really bad footwork, terrible handfighting, no takedowns (they just tripped over each other), and a headlock that the guy should have got out of in 3 seconds. All this followed by 2 minutes of trying to get the americana.

@LionsDenJJ My son is a 4x Grapplers Quest Champ, 7x NAGA Champ, Pan Am Champ, and World Champ (expert divisions), and widely regarded as the #1 Ranked submission grappler in the world by the likes of Robert Drysdale, Scott Bieri, Marcelo Mafra, Joao Asis, Rhodisley Wilson, Vinny Maghalaes, Mica Cipili and many other top sub grapplers in the world. He trains his MMA under Shawn Tompkins, Kevin Randleman, Urijah Faber, Joseph Benavidez, and Chad Mendes. Has Nathan ever competed in a real event?

Doodee, adam albrights my uncle AHAHA.
its weird seeing him fight
Seriously??? They both suck......bad technique and average strength, I bet my 70 pound 12 year old would submit either of them within 2 minutes. Actually, he might submit both at the same time. Ha ha....

@tlaplaca1 well, considering you werent there, you dont know either of them, and that the rest of the people in this class that nathan beat are now multiple title holding MMA fighters, i dont think a 70 lb kid has any chance. but i do have to give your son some credit. hes good against the other 12 year olds that have no idea what theyre doing.

no he had great technique but the guy he was facing had very little. The guy when he was trying to do the judo throw off the start turn his back away which is a huge no no. I think he thought he was going to be easy.. Rule #1 never underestimate your opponent ever!

oh, yeah, he trained under the monster muscle crew, theyre not really grapplers they mainly do powerlifting so their instructor only knows what she learned from the coach at the lions den

I grapple here at desertquest in Arizona. I been grappling and MMA sense 4 years of age. This adult has no ideal whats he's doing. When your in a position like that your suppose to sweep your leg under the opponents leg try to hook it then go for the other one to get in guard. He wasen't turning south ether. My grappling record is 213-2 Lost twice to my older brother who going to be fighting in WEC with a record of about the same. MMA is 12-0. Novemeber 15th! Nick Marus woot
