About 6 years on from this, it would seem that Peter Doherty (Libertines/ Babyshambles) would be "inspired" by this track, along with his drug buddy and friend, the Wolfman. The song they collaborated on, "For Lovers", sounds remarkably similar to this. Or they both draw from the same sources, French 1960's Quasi Romantic Serge Gainsbourg influenced stuff and Scott Walker / Walker Brothers.
