@timthemod Well maybe you are half factual it probably was recorded in LA on the master track, but in the mid 60's they overdubbed parts of the recordings back in Detroit where they thought an input from a Funk Brother would improve/enhance a record. I would put money on that Bass line being from the legendary James Jamerson, it has his stamp all over it. He was also for the best part of the 60's the worlds best Bass player. Motown would never use anyone else if he was available.

Just for info this was recorded by Frank Wilson in Los Angeles, no Funk Brothers played on the track.
