I don't think so. We are taught to fall properly and a shoulder throw is far from the worst thing you can encounter, lol.

Good job in demonstrating this technique! I study Aikido religiously and although my class doesnt over do it on the study of the hip throw I still enjoy studying this particular technique very much. If applied correctly its very combat affective and just the throw alone could render someone KO'd are wind knocked out at the very least. A hip/shoulder throw on asfault or concrete would be devastating to an attacker.
