  • makes you sick? you're fellow americans who marry abroad or petition for that families have to go through the same convoluted process. you're mixing up your anti-illegal-immigration bullshit with the efficiency of a legitimate immigration process which must exist in some capacity for any country that isn't walled off from the rest of the world.

  • If the American public really knew about this I doubt they would stand for it for a second. All you ungrateful bastards with your "they have to work faster!" The only reason this level of immigration is allowed is because of the immigration act of 65, which the American people never voted for or wanted. Illegals in the country petitioning, LPRs petitioning, it makes me sick...

  • Immigration reform, the USCIS must serve better and faster for those legal immigrant applicants (customers paid required fees) before millions illegal immigrants get-in-line. Were so frustrated with USCIS officers worked in Tortoise manner; They getting good paycheck every month, sitting in comfortable rooms enjoy their life, while innumerable applicants suffering from their employers (I-485 application pending).

  • I might be reading into this, and I apologize if I'm misreading djfilms' sentiment. I suspect that djfilms dislikes having to explain USCIS's tangled mess.

I agree with djfilms: I'm glad there are people like Mr. Bernstein who are willing to try to untangle this giant knot.

The goals of immigration policy are set by the legislature & the State Department. Never have I heard the legislature or the State Department say "Our goal is to make things confusing and tricky". Yet, it is precisely that.

  • Thank you for doing this I work for USCIS customer service. Keep taking calls and telling people what to do, see how you like it.
