I have this DVD but didn't watch this scene that closely the first time I saw it.
The funny part is that engine 106 and 110 are the stars, but if you watch closely after the wreck one of the engines gets renumbered to 100!

Indeed! One of the finest of actors! Edward Arnold. This man was really good at his profession, and a treat as DJB. See him, also, if in a smaller part, in Lillian Russell. A marvelous voice...
