Curved Escalators

Seen in a shopping centre (Mall) in San Francisco, in July 1999.

I understand that these are much more expensive than ordinary 'straight' escalators.

In the early days of the London Underground at least one station featured one / several spiral escalators. However they did not last very long and nowadays next to nothing remains of them.

yes a spiral escalator - untill my visit to San Francisco I'd not seen one of these either!

i' ve been in this mall in san francisco but i can't remember the name either. what is still know is, that i've bought a nice pair of nike shoes in it and i still have those.

in las vegas in a certain hotel i've seen the same type of escalators too.
