Project Factory.Modz() is a Physics Based Technology for Factory Animation that enables you to bring your machine line layouts to life and clearly articulate the working intent of the layout to your clients and stakeholders. It helps you to visually communicate your ideas by animating the movement of material and people inside your facility. It is easy to use, does not require CAD expertise, and you can be up and running creating your first animation in less than 5 minutes.

No, unfortunately. Navisworks in this workflow is primarily a viewer of static objects.

It depends on what you are trying to accomplish. To capture the motion that you desire, you could either do this in Inventor or in Navisworks. The Inventor environment would allow you to make it a bit more realistic, as the Navisworks motion capabilities are fairly limited - Naviswork's strength lies in its ability to aggregate data from many sources and be able to handle a massive data load. You could import the DWG data either directly into Inventor as solids entities or use DWG overlay.

ah sorry mate, I just saw that it's Inventor, so my next question is if it's worth to insert a autocad drawing into inventor and then in navisworks. ( my project considers architecture and piping, and the movement I want to create is a crane putting a roof on the building and assembling few things)

is this possible in navisworks without adjusting the configuration of your object in autocad?
