Which ideology has deeper racist roots, liberal or conservative? If you trace American liberal philosophy back compared to conservative over the years and surmise that liberals are the more racist, you might have a comprehension problem.
Was the South Liberal?
Is the KKK a Liberal organization?
How about Neonazis? Liberals?
Today April 4th, 2008 marks the fortieth anniversary of the murder of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. We have definitely made progress- well, at least some of us have.
On this momentous day Frank looks back at the evolution of the Democratic and Republican parties. Rightists try in desperation to hide their racist roots with fantasies and half-truths about the Democratic party. They paint efforts to compensate for the atrocities of slavery and discrimination that lasted in bold form until just the end of the 1960's as the opposite of what they are- racist.
We can only fantasize about the outrage and demands that a white America would make if the tables were turned. Forty acres and a mule? Ha! Many of today's white elites cry like babies if they have to pay their taxes to the nation they claim to love so much!
One conservative was brave enough to admit the truth:
"It was the *liberal* wing of the Democratic Party that ended segregation."

There is no racial superiority. Any "race" placed in the same social situation would be just as impacted. The idea that humans can be dehumanized and treated as objects for generations and then expected to show no evidence of it while discrimination against them still exists is an exercise of ignorance no matter what "race" it comes from.
