speech project how to make mochi
Introduction
Hello my name is Austin Somers and today I am going to teach you how to make a Japanese desert known as mochi.

Necessary Materials
First you will need a hand mixer for mixing in the dry and wet ingredients also for mixing in the food coloring if you chose to put some in.
And 1 pound of mochico rice flower.
And 2 cups of sugar
You will also need some coconut milk and an exact ratio of water
some tinfoil to cover the pan when the mochi is in the pan
You will need a casual 9*13 cooking pan and another slightly larger pan

Dry ingredients
First you want to put in the mochico sweat rice flower.
Next, put in the 2 cups of sugar

Wet ingredients
for the wet ingredients first put in the coconut milk
next fill up the same can that held the coconut milk and poor it into the beater.
If you want to you may put some mochi into the pan to change the color(this is optional)
Finally mix everything in the bowl with the hand mixer.
Make sure you have all the chunks from the side off

Preparing the pan
before the poor the mochi into the pan you want to wrap the pan with the tinfoil I showed you in the beginning.
After that you want to use some oil and smear the bottom of it and the sides.
Next you put the smaller pan into the slightly larger one.
Before you do anything else you really want to put some water into the larger pan so the mochi doesn't burn. You only need to fill it up about half way.

In between
After all that you pour the mouchi into the pan.
Next you set the oven to 350 degrees
insert the pan into the oven and set the timer to 1 hour depending on your oven.

Preparing the mochi
Once you take out the pan let it cool off as long as it takes.
After it cools off put some corn starch onto your table(or something you will be prepareing your mochi on.
Take out the tinfoil with the mochi and place it upside down onto the corn starch.
Peel off the tinfoil so that there is nothing on the mochi.
Once again put some corn starch onto the mochi.
Flip it over and do the same if the mochi needs it.
Next cut the mochi into strips like a 1by9inch stip and cut that into 9 pieces or however you would like it.
Conclusion
And in the end this is what it should look like 8:08
it may have a funny texture but its jappenise can you cant expect it to look "not alive" or feel like a "McDonalds hamburger"
RESTATING THE TOPIC
And in this speech I have taught you how to make mochi a Japanese desert
