@Nverdis As a bunch of orbs? Are we talking about C'thun from WoW, cause Yog-Saron in WoW (Which I imagine is the depiction of Yog-Sototh) has tenticals aswell. Actually.. All the old gods in WoW does.

jeez its like they missed the entire atmosphere of the stories lovecraft wrote.
Portal is the only band i know that actually equals the insanity and absolute horrific detail in their lyrics correctly without ripping off passages from lovecraft.

Just finished reading the Case of Charles Dexter Ward for the first time.
What were the nameless "pets" in the pits, "they have no need to feed yet they do anyway"!!!
Loved the incantation invoking Yog-Sothoth, used in the conclusion of the story. My favourite Lovecraft story so far........................

What I don't get is why some artists often depict Yog with tentacles. He's described as a bunch of orbs. Cthulu characterization perhaps? Although I do like the picture with Yog having 1 eye, a few tentacles, and is overlooking a valley... he retains that "gateway" look to him right there.

Is it me or did Lovecraft have a thing with tentacles and sea-men? Lol jk but a lot of what I see are sea-aliens that are called gods.
