Great song and before the scene errupted in Australia. I rememebr it being played to death on 2UW in Sydney and SOUNDS on Channel 7.This is on COUNTDOWN from what I can gather, Great old Disco song..should be re-mixed.
@tjfaust This Dag Quiz entry ("this is it, part of my push to get all-disco on Dag Quiz") also started my 1970s addiction, which, clearly continues to this day. They just don't make 'em like this today. I think this was the only ever dag quiz where they had to do TWO requests for callers: first time no one knew the song!
@zaniac100 However, after the song was linked to a large hole in the ozone layer, a police amnesty led to the recovery and destruction of all but a few copies. However, after months of negotiation, the World Health Organisation have allowed us to give Dark Tan's Disco Lady One Final Spin...
@zaniac100 Such was the toxic danger of the single, that it was only available, by prescription. It was also the only single that could only be played under medical supervision, and only after the listener had served a 24 hour evacuation notice, to everyone living within a 5 mile radius.
@tjfaust Every once in a while a musical act unites critical opinion. The Beatles released Sgt Peppers and the critics agreed: Brilliant completely brilliant. Bowie released Ziggy Stardust: Without doubt, a masterpiece. And Dark Tan released Disco Lady: Sniff sniff What's that smell?

I did record a few of them, but it was this one, Disco Lady that started my 70s and 80s addiction because of the D-Gen! I think I heard your one!
