If you want the western world to co-operate with China then trying to impose China's Totalitarian nature on potential business partners is a good way to sour our relationship and cause unrest. Interestingly enough these people protesting are Chinese Canadians. Many immigrants from you're nation have often expressed to me their dissatisfaction at Chinas unwillingness to allow the people to express themselves with protest.

Also these people are in Canada and their freedom of speech is protected by Canadian law. No offence, but allowing people in our country to speak for themselves is not racist.
