Katie McDonald explains how to make her variation of the classic Ramos Gin Fizz at Veneto Tapa Lounge in Victoria, BC, Canada for The Art of the Cocktail Festival.

As Katie mentions in the video, traditionally, you would:
- use regular gin in place of the Saffron Gin
- use simple syrup in place of the vanilla liqueur
- give one much much longer shake in place of the two-step "dry shake then wet shake" she uses

  • Are you guys not paying attention? She's substituting the regular ingredients of the Ramos Gin Fizz and she's stating BOTH on how to do the traditional Gin Fizz AND the one she's making

  • You are not following the true recipe... Please, for all of us, do not list the cocktail as a Ramos.
