I would look at a Phenom II x4 over the athlon II though

You see the problem here? You get those new tech HD games and won´t be able to play the on full HD with everything maxed out cause then you would have 10 fps or something... Maybe even less than that... They make so called HD games and no one is able to play them with a smooth framerate. On both console the 360 and Ps3 the framrate is not higher than 30 fps. For fucks sake. How much money would the PC cost to run this game at 100 fps in full HD and MAXED OUT???

@NoRestart personally cost isn't a factor to me

I enjoy PC gaming because I can mod anything in the game

GTA IV for example at one point I had all buildings in game swapped out to be the actual buildings in NYC

by all means, PS3 AND XBOX 360 are better for the price

but honestly PS3 AND XBOX 360 don't get 100fps in games like gta iv

they get maybe 30 steady

PC is where you get 60+fps even though 30+fps isn't noticeable to human eye..for recording with fraps it makes a big difference though

my fps is wacky, this was also takin when I had XP, the game runs far better now that I have Win7 x64

but I lost my fraps registrated version when I switched OS's

I will have to get it again before I post videos longer than 30 seconds

GTA 4 is a horrible console port and a very unoptimized game. Only very expensive PCs would get over 30 FPS. I get 30 FPS in GTA4 and 90 CONSTANT fps in Mafia 2 (which looks better in every way possible).
