@sadlobster1 You have to seppuku afterwards though.

@sadlobster1 Okay, yes, that's an honest comment. Although a remake wouldn't really be the best idea in anyone's mind as this was Kurosawa's magnum opus and his last epic. Truly, what's happened is Hollywood aren't copying the source material, they're taking the formula and creating movies out of something masterful like with what happened with Seven Samurai - and Yojimbo!
-
@HideoFTW1 I'm only saying that if Hollywood chooses to remake this and not stick to or honor the original material, I think many fans of this film other than myself would be somewhat disappointed
-
@sadlobster1 If I recall, this film was the influence for one of Speilberg's movies. However, you can't hate Hollywood if they copied this masterpiece - they were the ones who gave Akira Kurosawa his crazy budget when all Japanese production companies pulled out.

Perhaps you should instead use that sword to slit your own belly, if you would be so dishonored.

how do you buy it? I can never find it

@YeTenuousUmbrae True, I could do that but sometimes remakes turn out to be absolutely horrendous. Just look what they did with the Clash of the Titans remake
-
@sadlobster1 or you could just not watch it...

@0scottweise18 well played sir...
This is one of my all-time favorite Kurosawa films. If Hollywood dares to EVER remake this movie and it doesn't do any justice to the original; I will take one of my own Samurai swords, track down the directors and have them slaughtered in the street
