Pinkie Pie - Ghostie Cakes

This is my song for Pinkie Pie. I've been fiddling with the concept of dub step (it's only about 20% dubsteppier...) but I have to put my own spin on it so it's a brighter not as dirty sound. I figure her song should be bouncy and happy, party music. Since she is the master of random spontanious songs I figured the best thing to do would be to remix two of her own songs back to back. I think the outcome is better than if I had just mixed in parts of her singing with my own as I did with All a Flutter-shy.

It feels like the parts where Pinkie's voice drops out could be more. If you ever mixed this song in 4.0, 5.0, or 5.1 audio (anything with rear speakers), you could have the "drop out" parts of her singing be in the rear speakers, and then Pinkie would be all over the room.

@dogman15 I've thought of it before in previous projects and played with surround sound based music but many factors make it hard to commit. The majority of listeners don't listen to music on a surround system(cars, headphones... magic sea shells?). The ones who do probably aren't hearing their music in surround. I appreciate the suggestion but the cuts are intentional and as it should be. :)

@lintphishx: I wish I had a surround sound system :( If you stick a quadraphonic-recorded CD in a car, will the front and rear speakers play what they're supposed to, or do the rear speakers just copy the front speakers in all/most cars?

@dogman15 Maybe a high end luxury car might... but I doubt it. Like I said, there isn't much of a demand for it. Probably about as much of a demand as concerts where half the band is playing behind you?

@lintphishx By "clips", I didn't mean the sound or music. I meant Pinkie Pie herself. Sorry for the confusion. And I didn't think about distortion, more of that when you cut her voice at certain times, it ends with a high note and that don't really fit with the background beat. But now I'm just nip picking from my personal preference. "Clips" maybe wasn't the right word for this.

@lintphishx: Ha ha! That would be weird. (Well, the sound booth guys could have speakers behind the audience and route some of the stage inputs to those speakers.)
