Kustbandet from Sweden at the 1991 Brecon Jazz Festival
Just this morning I received an email from Jesse Lindgren in Sweden, trombonist and bandleader of Kustbandet. He had just found some of his recordings on youtube. Several ones, specially with Benny Carter, he never had seen himself before.
It is my pleasure to post another clip from their 1991 concert in Brecon, England.
Jesse introduces the song which features a vocal by their wonderful drummer Christer Ekhe. After some great solos from Jesse and clarinettist Jan Akerman trumpetplayer Bent Persson comes is. Bent is pure magic. He creates an emotion that we thought only Louis Armstrong could manage, but every time I hear Bent do this tune ( and of course in many other solos as well) it shakes through me. Thank you Bent .

Swedish jazz maybe the best in the world, nowadays. Bent Persson as well as Tomas Ornberg are EXCELLENT musicians both. Also is this outstnding big band.
