  • Useful videos but isn't it normal to, 1 hand tighten the c-clamp 2 attach the safety cable 3 then tighten? just in case the c-clamp fails?

  • Good point, though I haven't ever had (or heard of) a problem this way. I certainly wouldn't fault anyone for doing it in the order you suggest - the important thing is to make sure both get done. Thank you for the feedback!

  • Interesting

  • @eric530 Absolutely correct! that is how the C-clamp manufacturer suggests that you do it, and I have seen a C-clamp fail during the hanging process.

  • I recognize that it's more personal preference, but I agree that it's 'normal' to hand tighten, then safety, then wrench. Also, I would recommend against using the 'pan knob' on the side as this bolt isn't as tough as it looks and can break easily.

Other than that, well done. It's clear, concise and easy to understand. *applauds*

  • Rightey Tighty, Leftey Lucy! I Love it.

But... Surely if someone doesn't know which way to turn a standard bolt should they be hanging a fixture?
