The Diner Wizard toured the fascinating Tabasco Sauce factory on Avery Island in Louisiana and discusses the process and uses of the famous sauce! Did you know there was a salt mine deep as Mt. Everest is tall?
Good video, but man, you LEFT Cajun country to taste Cajun cuisine?! Nothing against New Orleans, there's great food there, it's a cool city, lots of fun. BUT... It's not really Cajun country. Sure, there's Cajuns there, and probably some good Cajun restaurants. But you were THERE, IN Cajun country! I live near Avery Island, in New Iberia. To try Cajun cuisine, you gotta get it from places like Lafayette, New Iberia, Abbeville, Breaux Bridge, Eunice, Mamou, etc. That's it. You gotta come back!
