  • @marek0086 forget it...

  • @HksTopAndRock~ what are u crapping on about?!.... RB30 is Iron block!

They stopped making them in '88.

  • @BlazeFox89 yeh cause i was thinking about buying this old grannys vl and just stripping it and working the motor.... haha good old vl's love skids

  • @skidpiggy I was going to message them on an RB30 tutorial but they look way to busy doing other things to get a reply back, but the two motors are pretty similar. If you brought the DVD and an RB30 service manual I reckon you'd be right. That's what I'm doing anyway.

After you've done it two or three times it get's pretty easy, my mate rebuilds them like Lego. lol.

  • Got that completely wrong RB30 is the highly modified Bored and stroked cast Alluminium block mainly used on 1000-1100hp drag racing engines...

  • THIS IS THE rb25. two point five litre engine, 2496 odd to be precise,

    the rb25 : D = twin came, E :Efi : , T: turbo (single) ,

    RB 25 D.E.T

RB 30 engine is different, has a bigger bore (3 Litres ) ,is not turbo and is single cam ( less power ) at 117 kw skyline, and 114 kw VL commodore

  • I second the motion from skidpiggy. OR,

If I brought the DVD could a few notes be written and included with the DVD if I paid a little extra money or maybe even a 10 minute video on a disk. I'm sure there wouldn't be too many differences, but it raises confidence for first time builders if they can expect and know about all the problems and specialist tools needed to put this and the RB30 motor together before they start.

I might contact them on this if I don't get a reply here.
