the best size truck is .......hmmmmm........just enogh head room for the fitter to walk under it without getting a sore back....remember...24hr shift = oil change every 2 weeks

i start my first shift next friday on a 830e and possibly a 930 later the summer.

The Komatsu 960E hauls 360tons.Twice large as a Koamtus 830E??????We are talking 500tons.Who makes tires today that will be big enough to carry this phantom hauler of yours?Liebherr will have a new 400ton T282C at The Bauma show in Munich next month.I also think that Peabody took a order for 14 of these units out in the prb area.

You misunderstood my comments. I was talking about the future larger trucks that will be at least twice as large as the Komatsu 830E. They will probably use 86-inch rims shod with tires as large as 18 feet in diameter which should easily handle the larger loads. According to the Guiness Book of World Records, the practical upper limit for rubber tires is 20 feet in diameter.
