I have always loved this tune and I like what Arthur Lally´s band is doing with it.

  • After breakfast, my husband left the table singing, "Got a date with an Angel". Since he did not sing the entire song, I checked into You Tube to listen to the entire song. Glad I did. What a delightful way to start the day.

  • Very nice recording of a lovely song! I Got acquainted with this tune by Al Bowlly & the Ray Noble Band - very recommendable... (and funny!) ...Knock, knock... Al: 'Is that St. Peter?' - Ray: (grumpily) 'What the devil do You want...???' :-)) I think there should also be a version on YouTube somewhere...

  • What a great 30s dance band! I love this song anyways 'cause its a 30s classic! Thanks for sharing this great version! Thanks Beef for the lead!

  • The vocalist sounds like Maurice Elwin, who featured on many recordings by The Rhythmic Eight (Arthur Lally was a member) on Zonophone.
