This is my awesome new rat cage, with my rats too! I've made three "apartments" out of coffee cans with towels attached so they don't make a mess of it. A ladder which has lasted about 10 minutes before it began getting destroyed- but it was fun! In the video it's already crooked because they chewed off part of the string, I tried to re-hang it. I have a few bird toys that I've had for a few years: swing, one of the perches, and a small ladder. I bought the little blue house and tube from the pet store, no brainer. The long perches came with the cage, I put them all close together because I was afraid my rats would face a 50 ft fall (seemingly). I took a branch from my front yard to make the tree perch in front of the first cubby apartment. Using a bolt, nut, and two washers to attach it to the side of the cage. Same with the cubbys. All I'm missing is hammocks! Which can also be made. Oh, and I put plastic shelf liner on each level to protect my lil ratties feet. cheap, simple, effective.
Rats:
Mayla (Siamese Dumbo)
Suki (Lavender Agouti)
Lulu (Siamese Blaze Dumbo)

p.s. Sorry for the shakiness, I put extra wiring on the doors because they made a lot of noise when the rats (mostly Suki) would run in the wheel. So it was kinda hard to open the doors quickly to hold and move the camera! Hope you don't get nauseous easily.

Thanks for watching! :)
