This is me singing part of a song I wrote from the viewpoint of young Ozai. This is the second verse, where he's talking to Ursa, and the chorus, where he's wondering basically "Should I go to the Dark Side?" lol

Shadow behind the Flame
One dawn of light is the only one
The morning should require--
The sky never needed a second sun
To kindle life and fire!
How deeply you cast your shadow,
You cannot pretend to know:

I burn for my nation with no regret!

Actually, I had heard that about poetry, but I didn't know very much about it. I basically consider my songs as poems with melodies, so I'm glad you see them that way too. :)

I know its a song, but I kind of see it as poetry too. I like it, very much. Did you know that in the not too distant past, that poetry was actually sang the way you are singing?
