The sound of a 'Weird sound Generator' recorded on a old CLARICON reel to reel recorder.
Weird, isn't it?

  • Strange sci-fi like sounds. I like that recorder, I found the same model today at an estate sale!!

  • @foxiesnewpopsong if its rim drive its probably about 15-30 min on each side depending on the tape thicknes

  • très beau! bravo!

  • Does the rewind work on this one? And is this AC bias or DC bias on record?

  • Is that rim-drive or capstan drive? Also could you please make a video of voice and music recording quality of this machine? Thanks. It's a neat looking machine, I had a Charicon 5" reel machine, but it had such bad speed problems, as the motor was worn out really bad, I decided to take it all apart and use the amplifier circuit for experimenting with other tape transports. The amp works great, is AC bias, and records good.
