Destination Imagination 2010: Team Singapore! (Middle School Level)

Destination ImagiNation is a Creative Problem-Solving Competition which runs five different Main Challenges through four competitive age categories. On top of the Main Challenge which comprises 75% of the total score, teams must also go through an Instant Challenge which comprises 25% of the total score.

The Year 2-3 team (comprising three Year 2 students and three Year 3 students) took part in the Classics as a Main Challenge, You're Gonna Flip. They came in 1st in the Main Challenge component scoring 290/300 points, but unfortunately, the 25% Instant Challenge component dragged them down to a final placement of 8th position.

There were about 1300 teams at the Global Finals 2010 with about 13,000 participants. This competition is akin to an Olympics of Creativity. Other countries that took part include China, Korea, Turkey, Poland, England, Mexico, Guatemala etc. This competition has been going on for over 11 years, since 1999.
