Lost a little traction at the start from spinning, But i love that skidding sound in a VR6 sounds awsome.

nice run sounds like u spinning alot

just remove the emissions stuff and deal with the check engine light. you can trick the light but i did not really care. plug all holes if any that the egr and sai pump have. 32draft designs makes a nice plug to remove the sai pump. it really cleans up the engine bay without the sai pump, egr, idle air vale, or the after run coolant pump. vw vortex is your friend.

@kollak01 oh really? so if i had the opportunity to buy a completely stock vr golf i should have even tho it was $900 more? damn...and ya the timing chains were done i assume when the clutch was put in. also, was it a lot of work to take all that nonsense emissions stuff out? did u do have it done at a shop or by yourself?
-
did you do anything else besides the clutch kit? you know that the stock vr clutch is good for 300 or so horse right. if you were in there to do the clutch you should have done timing chains (unless they have been done), 268 cams and a light wieght flywheel. the are the best gains for a n/a vr. i removed every possible emissions items and bypassed whatever i could.

@kollak01 awesome. sick vid tho i have a 96 golf vr6 they are quite fast little cars . has a stage 3 clutch kit . drives like a go kart!
-
that one in the vid is the stocker. after a little while of having this car i had made a shift knob at work out of aluminum round stock on the lathe. it was a little cold in the winter and a little hot in the summer but nothin like rockin something you made yourself! i also ended up making a skid plate out of diamond plate aluminum. i had h&r coilovers towards the end of the time i had the car. shit would rub everywhere, it was fun!
-
@kollak01 nice! and i know this is a stupid question but is the shift knob off a mk4? or is that original
Dam, you did drive it like you stole it man lol but she's been takin care of. I did the head gasket over winter and a tranny swap. So its kickin good right now, other than the heater core I gotta replace before this winter.
