Gary Cherone was actually better then Hagar! But Roth is the only one that should sing for that band period!

Gary Cherone could have been a good replacement, but the song writing on the VH3 album was just god awful, and he was the fall guy for it.

The embarrassment begins around 1:40. What is that idiot doing? Rolling down the stairs. Falling all over, people trying to help him. LAYS DOWN when he gets back onstage (cool!). Then begins goose-stepping while doing a Nazi salute. WTF????

Cherone's not a bad guy and he's a good singer....but he never was the right guy for Van Halen. He looks out of place with the band.
