Boys Overboard Ch 8 part 1

- With Kevin and Sami -
*arrive to the party, it's crowded and hot*
Sami: hey wanna get outta here? It's kinda stuffy.

Kevin: sure! This aint my typa scene anywayysss :]

outside: Kevin watches Sami as she strolls in front of him, nervously.

Sami: I can't believe how close we've gotten in the past few hours we've known each other...it feels like I've known you a lifetime.

Kevin: *scratches his neck and starts to turn away* I feel the same way.

Sami: wanna just sit and talk?

Kevin: that sounds great to me.
*Sami and Kevin sit by the Jacuzzi and put their feet in. Everyone is inside, so the deck is pretty vacant*

Kevin: so Sami, tell me bout yourself- where did u grow up?

Sami: ummm *starts to tear, Kevin notices and reaches for her hand. It is cold and lifeless, and unwanting of his warmth* my childhood, to say the least, I can barely remember. I grew up in San Diego and I now attend a college their, UCSD. My dad traveled a lot with me and in the second grade we lived in New Jersey, then in the third, fourth, fifth grade we moved to Texas, South Carolina, and Nevada. Umm I like heavy medal and some Paramore. I love horror movies and sugar babies. I, uhhh, I don't know what to say im not very good at telling people about myself. Nobody gives me the time of day- one look at me and their mind set is sour.

Kevin: Wow. There is definitely more to u than meets the eye, anyone with half a brain can see it. I don't believe this is the real you. I feel that its just a cover up- the real Sami is yet to be found. *at these words, Sami turns away from Kevin and wipes her eyes, her heart dives down into the pit of her stomach and, for the first time in her life, wants to tell Kevin everything*

Sami: *all the built in emotions fly threw her mouth and stagnate in the air around the two* YOU THINK YOU KNOW ME? YOU THINK I LIKE THE WAY I AM. I AM THIS WAY BECAUSE I HAVE TO BE.

Kevin: *he reaches for her, now standing and outraged, and tries to calm her down* Listen, I said I knew you were different; you don't have to be on the defense with me. You can trust me.

Sami: Nobody. And I mean NOBODY has ever earned my trust. There is not one person I can name that has ever wanted and loved me.

Kevin: what about your family?

Sami: *after Kevin said this, she burst out in hard tears, streaming down her face and and leaving hot, wet trails* I NEVER SHOULD HAVE STEPPED FOOT ON THIS SHIP. *she ran away, ran so fast Kevin couldn't keep up. He went to look for her*

Kevin was puzzled. He looked everywhere for Sami, but no luck. Rain started to pour and the night grew darker than ever. He decided to go to their room and see if she was there. He arrived in front of their door and nearly tripped over a figure laying down with a black hoodie covering her face.

Kevin: Sami?


UH OH. Looks like someone's harboring a dark past. Or is she just too emotional? Wonder if Sami's fits of anger will effect everyone's time on the ship or cause a sinking of titanic proportions. We'll see in PART 2!!!
