@CHACH208 The Reason they don't use traditional Rifles is due to accuracy and the benefits of the new weapons these are, correct me if i'm wrong SA80 Rifles ehich is one of the best assault rifles in the world. What alot of people forget is that these Guards are actually working guards if someone was to try and attack the Queen or go towards trying to enter Buckingham Palace or what not then they are allowed to fire at them, these guards are not ceremonial so why would they use old weapons?

@CHACH208 its not a gun my friend, its a rifle :)

dont really understand why everyone keeps hating on guards, if u dont like it dont watch it, simple..........everytime i stumble upon this vid people are always argueing and shit. grow up and google the guards if u need info..... patrick7794 gives a good description of whats goin on.

@patrickd7794 The guard (person reading, corporal) is reading the duties for the new guard, who will remain sentry (How long he stays there, when to start marching), and is also reliefing the old sentry guard. This is not a full changing of the guard, merely a sentry relief. (2 hours on, with a set patrol every 15 minutes.)

The title is incorrect. This is HALF of the changing of the guard.

Wtf happen to traditional gun

@blindxsv calling someone a dumbass is probably not a smart idea when you don't know the location of this video. These are men of the Household Division (1st Batallion Scots Guards) and they are guarding the Crown Jewels at the Tower of London. no member of the public can get this close to the Guardsmen at buckingham Palace.

looks funny with them modern weapons :P
-
Yeah the Kremlin guards are alot more strict.

They suck...
This is just a change of shift/duty/sentry. It is not the big parade at Buckingham Palace, the soldiers will be changed, and read any notices.
