Julia Renaissance Costumes presents highlights of their exciting and dynamic TUDOR FASHION SHOW which was part of the Edinburgh Festival of Museums. All the 16th Century inspired outfits were designed and created by Julia Soares-McCormick. An introductory talk was followed by models appearing in eight fabulous historical costumes. Each outfit was accompanied by beautiful period music and a talk about its design and construction.
Included were -- a doublet and breeches for King James VI, a Beautiful Peacock Blue Silk 'Mary Queen of Scots' Gown , a Royal Blue Silk 'Anne Boleyn' Gown, an Orange Silk Tudor Masquerade Costume, a Pink Silk French Dress, a Gold Silk Gown designed for Elizabeth I, Henry VIII dressed in full regalia and a Robe and Dress inspired by the outfit worn by Mary Queen of Scots for her execution at Fotheringay.

BEAUTIFUL COSTUMES! I love this time period for clothing, its so elegant and dramatic! These are all the colors I love rich dark colors. I would so wear them. I have the Elizabethan coloring, very pale milky white skin, natural red/copper hair and blue eyes. :) I was wondering if you could possibly make something for me? please get back to me. :) I am interested in a hooded cloak.

They are designed primarily for Renaissance Fashion Shows, personal appearances and talks about history, costume and design.

I am very busy presenting these events so I am not taking orders or selling costumes at the moment.
