Another build request i was able to squeeze in. this one features a monk using only factions and prophecies skills. This monk uses prot spells to heal team mates and protect them. Uses Life Sheath as a nice condition removal/damage sponge. Uses an assassin secondary for defense.

Skills:
Life Sheath
Jamei's Gaze
Protective Spirit
Guardian
Reversal of Fortune
Signet of Rejuvenation
Holy Veil
Dark Escape

Use life Sheath to remove conditions and as a super powered reversal of fortune. Use protective spirit to help reduce damage from heavy damage dealers like eles. Use jamei's Gaze for a nice big heal if someone is close to dieing. Use Guardian to protect yourself against attackers. Use Reversal of Fortune to soak up damage and heal. Use Signet of Rejuv as a small free heal. Use Holy Veil to remove hexes. Use Dark Escape to, well, escape from situations and to help reduce damage you are taking.

Attributes:
12+1+2 Protection Prayers
9+1 Divine Favor
7 Shadow Arts
6 Healing prayers

  • rof is redundant, and I have no idea why you're not running gift of health on this bar. Gift of Health was, next to spirit bond, considered the best skill from factions for quite some time, and only stopped being used after Nightfall and the eventual WoH buff. The only problem (and your bar is also having this same issue) is that you can't really push your own bar back up. For this reason, I honestly don't think LS is a viable build in RA without having EOTN and patient spirit.

  • well this was the best i could do with the restrictions the player gave me. he only had prophecies and factions so i had to make due wth what i could use.

  • that's why you should have used gift of health, quite possibly the best factions healing skill in the game...

  • in place of what exactly? i use gift of health when its the only healing prayers skill in my build. even if all it disables is signet of rejuv i dont like the idea of any skills being disabled. if i had it all i would ever use is it, not sig of rejuv and i would run out of energy by just spamming it.

  • anyone got a monk heal or smiting build with ONLY nf and faction skills pls tell me the code

  • oh what the hell

  • sig rejuv at best heals for about 80. at worst it heals for a pitiful 40. This is every 8 seconds. That's really not too impressive. Also, you're running a 10 energy spell. Pretty sure a 5 energy spell is less energy intensive than a 10 energy one. You can just replace sig of rejuv with a better skill like shielding hands.

  • Your build has no upsides, this life sheath build that you see here is actually quite good, and I know a good life sheath build, I play prot monk in PVP. Shield of regen was good in 2005 and 2006, back when glyph of lesser energy was used, and MAYBE it is SOMEWHAT possible with massive channel tanking, but life sheath beats it by miles.

  • SoR has a high mana cost though and if you use it on yourself they can just attack someone else, meaning you have too prot that target too since you dont have very much healing. ps ~100, dc ~75 just aint enough. Degeneration goes through your prots except SoR but its too expensive to put it on every one. lesser dmg goes through ps, and some dmg goes through SoA and SH. If the opposing team have moderate pressure and switch targets i think you will have a hard time healing.

  • this is the truth
