I got the 1-510-943-3040, luckily my dad wasted a lot of his time, before I took over and told the guy he's scamming. He swore at me and hung up.

As others have mentioned, but it bears repeating: the 1-661-380-3000 number is a Skype trunk line. A call from that number could very well be from someone you know. You can try this yourself. Call someone using Skype and ask them what number shows up on their phone. The odds are good that it will be this number.

I got a call from the SAME Person and the 510-943-3040 number claiming to be from College Now and that they are trying to get me a college grant to get me maximum money and that I was from New Mexico when I don't have my phone number listed on any of my scholarship information that is online with 2 reputable scholarship places. They even went so far to 'transfer' me to a rep who sounded like she was from New York or New Jersey. I've been getting calls from them repeatedly for the past week ugh

Same story, saying they were Micorsoft Licenesed technicians and wnated me to do an event log. Called him on it and he was very persistent. Finslly hung up on him. Should have done the good person test on him.

for some reason you all think it is the number! as many have said it is NOT the number, but the BUGGERS / SPAMMERS that are calling you to do there dirty deeds! by all means ANSWER the phone, but if you think you are being scammer, or spammed.. HANGUP. geez!!
