The things that bothers me, besides his smartass tone, is that he tries to knock the Bible using natural selection. Natural Selection is a process that shows how traits that were already there were chosen by nature to survive over other traits. It does not show how traits that were never there became about. For example a dog can be brown or black but never is it going to be purple. Why, because it doesn't have it already in its genes. Only mutations can do that and as he said this is unlikely.
This is true to some degree. Yes, beneficial mutations are uncommon; however, given a long enough stretch of time the accumulation of genetic changes and variations will produce outcomes very different to the original organism.
Exposure to different environmental factors can also change species over time, such as food consumption or long term ultra-violet exposure.

That makes sense to me. I think the 'why' type of question he was asking was almost in the sense 'Why' are we here, like there is an actual goal set purpose for why we are here. Although, I think the only type of 'why' there is, is the one in which is how you answered. :)
