Next storyline mission, unusual because five enemies out of six on the battlefield explode in your face when at critical health. One of the bombs has Critical: Quicken, meaning you want to finish it off avoiding that transition. The other two bomb have Unscarred and that makes it imperative to hurt them at the start of the battle.

It's also annoying because this area makes every enemy appear closer to your party that it is in reality. I always spend like a minute finding my exact location in space, seriously.

So far things aren't too bad with our equipment. It's not too different from a normal game yet, since the auctions follow exactly after this mission and not much is available via the bazaar yet.

The mission itself isn't too hard, though it's necessary to keep track of enemies' HP not to have them blow up hurting whole groups of characters. Four of them also possess fire-elemental attacks and fire absorption properties and that makes it harder to actually kill anybody. The party must basically team up to cripple one bomb within a turn or so, this isn't too hard.

When one bomb remains alive, I have everybody but Luso retreat and reduce it to critical health. It blows up next to the boy and teaches him the useful Self-Destruct blue magic. Too bad Adelle was lost in the process, I would have done the same for her. Oh well, it's not really a necessity at this point anyway (the Flowsand Lord sits in his deep hole and you can't reach him with Self-Destruct), so we'll have Adelle learn it later.

ah~I hated this mission mostly because my dragoon was accidently equipped with the lava spear...
