Spiro's good, but I like Uetz's version just a teensy bit better.
(That spoken line about the Pousette Dart Band just cracks me up every time)

Michael was a fave performer of mine when he did the campus tour (Univ. of Wisc. Whitewater). True, it would be better to give the orig. author (George Uetz) credit in this video, BUT, George once said that Michael was the ONLY (or one of the few) performers who actually paid him royalty / bought permission to record it, giving him credit on the recording. He's just kidding around anyway about the 'true story', don't get so bent out of shape.

This song was originally written by George Uetz, a professor of Animal Behavior, Behavioral Ecology, & Arachnology from the University of Cincinnati! His version was included on a compilation record of local songwriters put out by a Cincinnati radio station. Michael Spiro used it with his permission, and his (live) version of the song appeared on his second album. Both versions were played many times on the nationally syndicated Dr. Dimento Radio Show.
