it is the responsibility of older children or younger childrens parents to promote healthy eating, not the school and not the government.
these are not your children so we do not need intervention, get over it

I'm all for this. Confiscate junk food. People are too fat nowadays and we need some kind of intervention to save us from our greed - and children are more vulnerable than ever before thanks to lazy parents giving sweets and nibbles to shut their kids up, rather than making them eat healthier food.

Teachers need to act as secondary parents with 90% of school kids so cocky, disrespectful and out of control now.

except they also have a duty of care to all the pupils! and need to protect kids from one another.
But they shouldnt be allowed to prevent a kid eating food their parents are happy enough to give em.
