Sign the Petition: Stop ACORN from Accessing Taxpayer Dollars

Speaker Pelosi, I think that Congress has a duty to the taxpayers to keep our hard-earned money out of the hands of those who play fast and loose with the law. I urge you to bring Congresswoman Michele Bachmanns Taxpayer Protection and Anti-Fraud Act to the floor and to support its passage. I want to know if you are on the taxpayers side or ACORNs.

So it would only take an indictment, an accusation of guilt, for a company or organization to lose it's Federal Funding?

Charges were filed ... ok, but was ACORN found guilty? Doesn't this proposed law assume that the indicted party is GUILTY before it's proven in a court of law! How is that Constitutional?

One last comment on stimulus. If we were to go around and break everyone's windows, then we would certainly create new jobs in the window business. However, the money being spent on windows couldve gone somewhere else. Its the same with stimulus. It creates jobs, but how many will be destroyed when we pay for it? Forcing capital to a particular activity is never going to be as efficient as allowing the money to go where it goes. Save/create jobs at the expense of even more jobs down the road?

Why do Dems get all up at arms about Medicare D? It's a massive entitlement spending program that increases drug coverage, yet evidently because someone with an R by his name signed it makes it evil. Part D was a terrible idea, but this recent religion that Dems have got about the debt is so disingenuous. Talking about debt is great, but if you only want to talk about the Iraq war (temporary), then you're not really interested in a the solution. We must stop the bleeding with entitlements.

I grant you that the Iraq war has been very expensive, but the war will end and the expenses will slow to a trickle. However, the legacy of the Bush admin's overspending will be Medicare part D. Unlike the Iraq war, without an act of Congress to reverse (which will never happen), we will spend close to $1T in 10 yrs, let alone what happens beyond that. Entitlements are our problem with debt and yet somehow Medicare D is the devil, but SS and traditional Medicare are a-ok.

On C-SPAN, they showed Bush's debt would have been 90% if not completely payed off if not for Iraq. Obama, and his team also said the way he is spending money, that it will be payed for afyer his first term. I said it beofre. As long as the Iraq War wages on, no matter what Obama does. Bush's debt won't be payed off. Period. We are talking Trillions. That's 12 zero's. Also recently, it showed how the stimulus has created thousands of jobs in the GOP districts. The same one's against it.

He's addressing it not. The GOP already said if not for the stimulus, unemployment woud have been 25%. This also comes from MSNBC, CNN,CBS, The Washington Post, C-SPAN. etc. The problem is it's already known that Bush' shit, with all that legislation, not being payed for will not be close to being payed off to at least 2013. I told this story since 2007 &2008. People say don't blame Bush. Ahh Yeah you do, because his debt did not disappear when Obama got elected.

I wish everyone could've have seen our President school the GOP today on live T.V. unscripted. MSNBC is rerunning it and, boy did the President school them. There were two reported Republicans saying they wish it was not televised. I'm eleated how Obama broke the debt down and why we are still in it. If you want to hear the truth, especially why America is still in this financial debt, look at this town hall. For those who want the truth anyway. Hey Obama, relax, I'll see you until 1-20-2017
