This is the updated version of Summer which replaced the opening night version at the Urban Cycle Gallery after the first evening of the exhibition. The first version (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PvQgHO-isw4) has a reflective and meditative sound track suitable for individual enjoyment. This newer version uses the music of Albeniz to drive the animation along and is more suitable for public performance.
No responsibility is taken for the heat waves of 2010 in Berlin! Summer in Berlin was released at a time when most people wished for summer to come after a very cold winter extending into April, when the exhibition was on. It represented summer from the point of view of winter as seen in its remnants from the previous year. The summer that followed was extreme but perhaps not unwelcome for many. As seen at the end of the video, summer is followed by the relief of autumn.
The original flash video of this animation can be seen at dotatelier.blip.tv. In places in this YouTube rendering some quality has been lost resulting in some fuzziness.
