These items sound good at first. Let's consider what it takes to get some of these things in place, mainly big government. If you have a pulse, you've seen that the bigger our government gets, the stupider it gets. I've seen federal corruption from the inside and it's just rampant. Nothing works well, because you can't fire people who are clearly harmful to the system, due to their extreme protection. So, the system gets worse and worse. There is no "free stuff" folks. It is truly unfortunate that progressives like Mr. Lakfoff believe that people are perfectable through government.They speak of morals on what basis? I think we can be more "empathetic" toward people by honoring the guarantee of the RIGHT to Life Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness afforded by the Constitution. Government only gets in the way.

What the hell are you talking about? How about women sufferage in the Middle East? We shouldn't look to the welfare of other nations and establishing democracies. Oh wait, we how dare us and are war for oil!

We should look to "Big Brother" to control all aspects of life(freedom of speech, right to bear arms, freedom of religion, goverment controlled health care, and etc.) because they are the empathic and sympathetic ones. How dare us make a profit! We should all obey "Big Brother". Fools.

The true psychopaths are those who pretend to be psuedo-intellectuals that would rather see our country lose a war just to prove their point. What do you mean by psychopaths and how is this relevant to corporations? By the way, I find it confusing to preach about the evils of war and yet we kill thousands of unborn children everyday in this country. How is this consistent? How is implimenting socialism(in which progressive thinking is) reestablishing democracy? Yes, rely on "Big Brother" to make decisions for you and every aspect of your life. Having the government control healthcare, the economy, and eventually rights of citizens is the complete opposite of democracy. The use of the word empathy was not even relevant to the topics in this video. Pure rhetoric and propaganda are the words best described by watching this!

Progressives cannot use empathy, cannot appeal to empathy in psychopath simply because there is nothing to appeal to, there is no empathy there.

Hence progressives need to use 'strict father' frames when dealing with significant subsection of people and with corporations. There is nothing wrong with the frame per se.
