This is all from the same "very special after school special" i in the 80s. It is about "just saying no" and the drug references are to things I've never even heard of. It's so over the top as to be funny, with the girls saying "you know, like, everyone does pot, weed, grass". It's so out of date, which makes it FUNNY. The message is not funny, but they don't produce things like this anymore to discourage the youth from the dangers of drugs. We need a new campaign because it WORKED, proven.

Helen Hunt's charater was on PCP, not crank. What's the big deal? Why do you think it is called HIGH school? Don't most people put PCP into their joints instead of snorting it? Instead of looking horrified the students at that special education school should have said "she couldn't handle it". That was what we would have said back in the day. Movie making people: If your going to hurl your actress from what appears to be a third story window, at least make it real. Like, just have her hurled from said window then land and stay down with a pool of blood forming under her.

Because someone jumping from a third story window, then getting up and running around like nothing happened is beyond the realm of "willing suspension of disbelief"

It worked. Lol. I know what was proven. When I was a kid in the 80's every single adult I knew told me all these 'facts' about drugs that were repeated to me by every adult on TV. I was terrified. Then I grew up and in highschool found out that every single one of them lied to me and had no idea what they were talking about. Instead of having good info I was totally on my own. I turned out okay, but lots of others I know with no information ended up ruining their lives from bad parenting.
