Excerpts of an interview with nxtbookmedia's Marketing Director Marcus Grimm, who says publishers are moving steadily toward getting their products onto new digital platforms. Some of the biggest challenges: figuring out how include advertising, how to adapt content in the most effective way, and how to branch out onto all platforms.
Those who have been most successful in crossing over to multimedia publishing are those who, Grimm says, have figured out the difference between creating a digital version of the magazine versus simply uploading the content of the paper version.
