This is a longer clip of the 1988 Vice-Presidential debate. The quality is bad and the audio is worse but you get the full moment.

  • If Palin decides to run in 2012 there is no way she would make it past the primaries, and if she does get the nomination, than the Republicans are handing Obama his second term on a silver platter.

  • Quayle got served badly by Mr. Bensten.

Look at Quayle at 3:09 he wanted to cry! LOL

The most awesome political moment in history.

  • @schusterlehrling Samoa, Puerto Rico, and the other minor outlying islands of the united states are just that, territories. They are not states. They are by no means states and by no stretch of the imagination or molestation of the dictionary can they be called such. Even if somehow we could call them states, Quayle and H.W. didn't campaign in any of them. Seems like he is not quite as smart as you thought.

  • I thought JFK was good for the USA in 1960. His brother RFK is my hero and there brother Edward did more for the country then both of them. BUT

Dan Quayle was right when he said he had more experienced then JFK in congress. JFK took the seat then hardly went there. Same with RFK, he won the seat from New York only to try to be president. in 1968.

Ted Kennendy is the only brother that served the American people long term.

  • What is amazing is that Quayle had to be asked this question 3 times before he even began to address it. There is a difference between the question "What would you do, as Vice-President, if the President were killed and you became President?" vs. "How are you qualified to be president"? Those are two ENTIRELY SEPARATE questions. Quayle was obviously unprepared to answer the first (amazingly, in a VP debate!!!) so he chose to answer the 2nd instead (he prepared for that one but still fumbled).

  • @albear972 Right back at you??? Certainly you can come up with something better than that... Be original girl!

  • @sanjacraven36 right back at you asshole! ;)

  • @albear972 You are an idiot!

  • @Scotty7617 I pray you are right....

  • This is awful. I can't watch.

  • @aquaiz

He did, as Samoa and Puerto Rico and other "territories" also count for the Democratic nomination.

So he ACTUALLY campigned in more then 50 states.

Seems like he is smarter then you thought.
